Philmont 2012
The dates for the 2012 East Carolina Council Contingent have been established. Our contingent will attend Philmont Scout Ranch beginning July 11, 2012 until July 23, 2012. These dates DO NOT include travel time to and from Cimarron, New Mexico
Please keep in mind this is a Council Contingent not a troop or crew organized trip.
Youth Eligibility:
A Boy Scout or Venture Crew member must be 14 years old by September 1, 2011 OR have completed the eighth grade prior to departing for Philmont. Must be an active member of a Boy Scout Troop or Venturing Crew. Must obtain written recommendation from Scoutmaster or Crew Advisor. (Youth female participation is dependent on the availability of a female adult advisor. All participants well be required to participate n a hiking/camping training program during 2011-2012.
Cost:
The 2012 Philmont Contingent cost is estimated to be $1,900.00
Registration deposit of $100 is due with application
1st Payment Due: September 1, 2011: $325
Crew Selection:
The selection of youth crew members will be on a first come, first served basis. Registrations received
without fees will not be honored. Remaining applicants will be placed on an "alternate list".
