affordable campsite for units looking to visit the beach. Sam Hatcher is a primitive Camping
site with a small restroom and cold showers.
Camp Sam Hatcher is a 35 acre property near Newport, North Carolina and is used for weekend
outings by Packs, Troops and Crews and non-Scouting groups. It also hosts an annual Croatan
Trails Cub Scout Day Camp and district events. There is water access at most campsites and
there is a small latrine facility and a large program pavilion and a lodge with a meeting area.
