Camp Facilities & Information

Interested in using one of the ECC facilities? Any BSA unit or committee who would like to utilize or camp at one of the ECC Camps should complete the Properties Use Procedures and Properties Use Permit and submit to the Council Office with fees. Our facilities are also available for any non-Scout group to use for events and meetings. If you are the member of a non-Scout organization or group please complete the same forms. All buildings and campsites are on a first come first serve basis.

    Council Camping Committee

    The council camping committee, like other committees, has the primary purpose of helping units succeed. If the committee does its job effectively, youth will have a happier Scouting experience.


    Council camping committee responsibilities fall into four categories:

    • Outdoor program
    • Properties & maintenance
    • Conservation
    • Camp promotions


    A recent Harris Interactive study revealed the following facts for youth what participate in outdoor programs:

    • 86% try something they have never tried before
    • 80% participate in a decision making process for the first time
    • 78% feel they have accomplished something worthwhile
    • 69% reflect on their relationship with God
    • 68% participate in a flag ceremony or a citizenship-building project


    Adults participating in the outdoor program report that:

    • 96% have played a role in helping youth succeed and grow
    • 92% have help youth realize their own abilities
    • 92% are with people they respect
    • 92% have build lasting friendships
    • 91% have fun
